What is it about design and those TV shows that make every little detail seem so important? I mean, details do matter, but when most people aren't designers or don't care much about them, why fuss? Why not just say, "It's good enough for me"? Isn't it most important that the person living in the space is happiest?

I love what I do, and I'm always happy to help with every last detail of a space, especially the practical ones. But when a client wants a plan from me and then wants to handle it on their own, I'm thrilled too! I do always want to see where the space lands. And whether I approve or not, it really doesn't matter as long as the person living there is happy and it works for them.
